Middle school girls from around Lake County, including recent Shiloh Park Middle School student Anita, gathered at Vernon Hills High School for the county’s STEM for Girls event on November 4. The event allowed middle school girls to explore Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math in an interactive and engaging environment while learning more from local women in the STEM fields. The event was supported, in part, by our own Academic Enrichment Coordinator, Tara Thomas, in an advisor/volunteer role.
